Email closetprayerapp@gmail.com. Tell us what happened and roughly when, and if it involves missing prayers, please say so plainly — we treat that first. Closet is made by a very small team, so a reply may take a day or two, but it will come from a person.
Common questions
My streak or journal looks wrong
Open the app and give it a moment — your history downloads in the background, and the numbers settle once it arrives. If it still looks wrong after that, email us before reinstalling. Reinstalling can remove anything on your phone that hasn't reached your account yet, so it is the one thing worth checking with us first.
I can't sign in / I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password. The link in the email opens Closet so you can set a new one. Open it on the phone Closet is installed on — it will not work on a computer.
I turned on journal locking and lost my code
If you locked your journal, the key is yours alone — we do not hold a copy, which is what makes it private. Your recovery code is the way back in. Without it and without your password, entries written while locked cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
Are my voice notes backed up?
No. Written reflections are saved to your account, but voice notes stay on your phone and are not uploaded, so they do not come back after a reinstall or on a new device. You can export them from Settings.
My streak broke and I did pray
A day counts if you prayed at all, however briefly. If a day is missing and you know you prayed, tell us the date — your activity history often still shows it even when the entry is gone, and we can put the day back. Grace Days cover a day you missed, keeping the run alive without counting as a day prayed; you hold up to two.
Reminders aren't arriving
Check Settings › Daily Reminder is on and the time is right, then check Closet is allowed to send notifications in your phone's own Settings — that permission is asked once and easy to miss. If both look right and nothing arrives, write to us.
Getting a copy of my journal
Settings › Export journal writes everything you have written to a file you keep — email it to yourself or save it to Files. Voice notes export separately from the same screen. Worth doing occasionally regardless of anything else.
A friend can't find me
Share your friend code from the Friends screen — it works even when searching by name does not. If you would rather not be findable at all, Settings › Discovery controls that.
Is there an Android version?
It is in testing rather than generally available yet. Write to us if you would like to be included.
Suggesting something
Settings › Submit a suggestion sends it straight to us, and it is read. Much of what is in Closet came in that way.
