Account Information

• Display name and username (for friends features)

Prayer Data

The following information is stored securely in encrypted cloud storage and cached locally on your device:

• Written prayer reflections and journal entries
• Voice recordings of your prayers (stored in private, encrypted storage)
• Prayer session dates, times, and durations
• Peace level ratings (1-10 scale)
• Encounter tags you select
• Paper journaling tracking (dates only, no content)
• Current and longest prayer streaks
• Friend connections and joint streaks
• Total days prayed
• Challenge enrollment and progress
• Milestone achievements
• Prayer style preferences
• Dark mode and text size settings
• Notification preferences

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Closet app experience:

• Provide and maintain the Closet app functionality
• Sync your prayer data across your devices
• Enable friends features (streak sharing only, never prayer content)
• Track your prayer streaks and milestones
• Display your prayer history and reflections
• Send you prayer reminders (if you opt in)

We will NEVER view, sell, rent, or share your personal prayer data with third parties.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is protected using industry-standard security practices:

• Cloud Storage: We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) for secure cloud storage with encryption
• Voice Recordings: Stored in private, encrypted storage buckets accessible only to you
• Row-Level Security: Database policies ensure you can only access your own data
• Local Caching: Data is cached on your device for offline access and fast performance
• Authentication: Managed by Supabase Auth with secure password hashing
• Offline-First: Works completely offline - data syncs when connection returns

Privacy Guarantee: Your prayer reflections, journal entries, and voice notes are protected by database-level access controls. Only you can see your prayer content. Friends you connect with can only see your streak status, never your prayers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service to provide Closet:

• Supabase: Our infrastructure provider for secure cloud storage, authentication, and database services. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified and uses industry-standard encryption.

We do not share your data with any other third parties for marketing, advertising, or analytics purposes.

Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your prayer data anytime in the app
• Edit: Modify or delete individual reflections and journal entries
• Export: Export your data at any time
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
• Privacy: Your prayer content is never shared with anyone, including friends

Data Retention

Your data is stored securely until you choose to delete it. You can:

• Delete individual prayer reflections or journal entries
• Reset your prayer history from Settings
• Delete your account and all data permanently

When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Closet is appropriate for all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@closetprayer.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Closet after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
